The Preston Passion

The final Sunday rehearsal was today for the Preston Passion. A couple of hundred more volunteers joined the mass choreographed crowd, some of whom have been rehearsing for the last seven weeks. The show, which takes place this Good Friday lunch time, is set in and around Preston Bus Station and will be broadcast live on BBC One.

With such a dedicated team of volunteers, and celebrities such as Heather Small and Fern Britton involved, it is set to be an amazing show. All the choreography is truly made to wow the audience watching both at home and in the live audience. Only when the cameras zoom out can you really appreciate the pictures painted by such a mass of performers.

Being one of the estimated one thousand volunteer performers, I know just how much effort and commitment has gone in to make this one hour performance. For those of us who are giving our time to this once in a lifetime chance, it isn’t about the work we have to put in but about being a part of something unique, exciting and massive within our own community.

This is definitely something that we will never forget.
